IELTS Writing Task 2: Proven Structure to Achieve Band 9.

Introduction:

IELTS Writing Task 2 evaluates your ability to analyze, structure, and express ideas in English. Many students struggle with organization, but following a proven structure can make a big difference and bring you closer to Band 9.

TIdeal Structure: Introduction:

Paraphrase the question. Write a clear thesis statement showing your essay direction.

1:Body Paragraph

Present your strongest argument.

Support it with real-life or research-based examples.

2:Body Paragraph

Provide another strong point or discuss the opposite viewpoint. Again, back it with examples.

Conclusion:

Summarize the main points. Give your final opinion clearly.

Extra Tips:

Use linking words like however, therefore, in contrast.

Maintain a formal tone — avoid contractions like don’t or can’t. Write at least 250 words, but avoid unnecessary stretching.

Conclusion:

Writing Task 2 is about clarity and logic. If you follow this structure, provide strong examples, and maintain coherence, scoring between Band 7.5 to 9 is absolutely possible.
